Transformers

White Noise now have their own custom designed, audiophile grade, toroidal transformers for use in high quality, audio power supplies. The transformers have special cores constructed for absolute minimum mechanical noise ( a common problem with off the shelf transformers ); custom over rated windings; potted centres ( no more metal dishes on top of the transformer ); and silver-plated, ptfe insulated, lead out wires ( why use an expensive mains cable if the last few inches to the transformer are bog standard copper, as they almost certainly are on all consumer hifi ). The 300VA, 2x35V ac transformer will drive one or two of either of our power amplifiers ( the DVA100 and the MOS125 ) whilst the 30VA, 2x25V ac transformer is intended for line level circuitry ( its included as standard in our cascode power supply ).
